Dan C. Edwards
spent 12 years in District #14 attending Adams City Elementary, Adams City Junior, and Adams City Senior High School. I attended the School of Life and Hard Knocks. My nickname in school was Danny. My sister, Nancy and brother, Tim (deceased), attended all 12 years at the same schools I did.  My favorite subject was Math.  I don't know why. My favorite teacher was Mel Martin, great teacher and human being - a lot of fun.  I walked to school.  The old middle building was  quite old, but warm and friendly.  I used to be a "sweeper boy" at the old north building.  I used to drive a 1948 Plymouth.  My favorite hangouts were Tootsies and the print shop in the old middle building.  I used to hang out with Jim and Bill Blewitt, Charlie Demoney, Herb Stertz, Colin Gilmore, Phil Sloan, and others. I would like to see them again.  My favorite things to do at school was print the "Eagle Eye" in the print shop in the old middle building.  My favorite thing to do after school was work.  I was in Band.  I was a manager of some of the sports teams.  My secret crush was Bonnie Wagy, but it really wasn't much of a secret.  I smile when I remember many things.  I feel sad when I remember when six AC boys were killed the year after I graduated (in a traffic accident.  See information on the "In Loving Memory" page). I'll never tell my biggest prank. I'm not telling what you didn't know about me. Dad is deceased, mom is 92 and alive and well, sister Nancy is alive and well, brother Tim is deceased.  My message to my classmates is "Hang in there - glad so many of us are still alive".  My message to today's students is "You can't tell kids anything - now or then". I have been a refinery worker,  union negotiator, organizer, and an official.  Now I am retired and loving it.  I enjoy skiing, bicycling, and hiking.  We have a great family. We have been camping in our 27' camp trailer, visited Hawaii a few times, and taken a cruise.  My retirement plans are to enjoy life. I am married to Carylon Edwards.  (6-2009)

Coach Martin was not only a good coach but a beloved math teacher. He left us that night but his memory has NEVER left me. I just want to thank the school and other teachers that were there that night to help the players and cheerleaders (which I was one of) get through this night. Much love Bev" (6-2010)

As we headed out the door, he stopped to look at something behind him.  He thought I was still holding the door, but I thought he was still behind me.  So I let go of the door and then, it SLAMS on his face.  Boy was he mad.  All we could do was laugh.  My favorite hangouts during my freshman year was at BIGGS, a little store right across the street.  It  was where the senior parking lot is now.  Then my hangouts gradually started to spread throughout the  whole school.  I used to hang out with Elizabeth Corral, my sis Oralia Olivas, Celina Castillo, Naty Baraza, Jessica Monarez, Veronica Muqoz, Mubia Delgado, Maria Garcia, Evelyn Sanchez, Jorge Saldaqa, Juan Carlos Cervantes, Erik Estrada, Maria Ceballos, Luz Ceballos, Laura Gutierrez, Delores Noe Cabajal, Etc.  I would most like to see Vero Moreno (Muqoz), Elizabeth Cervantes, Carlos Cervantes, and Jorge Saldaqa again.  My favorite things to do at school was eat lunch and hang out with friends.  My favorite thing to do after school was go home.  I was in the Mariachi Band.  I was happy on the first day of elementary school but I went to Brighton.  I was very scared  on the first day of middle school.  I was nervous on the first day of high school but happy that I finally got out of middle school.  I liked the water balloon fights during lunch hour.  I liked the Sadie Hawkins assemblies because I loved watching a teacher or principal kiss the pig.  I smile when I remember all the fun I had in high school.   I feel sad when I remember my last day of school. (Billy, Sam, do you guys remember the whole 10-10-321-4991-108499 +1 + Area code + Number ad?, I feel sad when I remember : Tommy Paloma stole Cristabel :(. My biggest prank : Not just pulling the chair out on Billy, but pulling the ENTIRE DESK out on Billy right before he sat down, and during football games, when the trumpets went to take a break, I'd pull the tuning valves out, or put a napkin in the spit valve. My proudest moment : Achieving the "Outstanding Musician of the Year" award in 2002. Favorite fads : Beeswax in my hair to spike it up... I could swim for a whole hour and it would STILL hold!!! I was such an idiot. Favorite fashions : Hawaiian button shirts? What was I thinking? LMAO... Cargo pants & thrift store shirts. Favorite songs/artists of my era : From Zero, Blaque, Tool, Primer 55, Flaw, Master P??, Oasis. Favorite movies/stars of my era : Never watched movies really..Hugh Grant, Adam Sandler. Favorite TV shows/stars of my era : Never watched TV either. Favorite sports teams of my era : Team Colin Mcrae. Other favorites : For about a year I hit this big Stevie Ray Vaughn phase, followed by my 70's disco loving phase. What I would change : If I hadn't taken that stupid bike ride that resulted in a severe loss in my memory. What you didn't know about me : I was pretty open throughout school. Update on Mom, Dad, siblings : Mom, 42, still acts 20, Dad, Still needs a dictionary, Siblings, one has a kiddo & the other is making 17 bucks an hour at 20 years old. My message to my classmates : Never let anyone punch you in the stomach so hard that your feet leave the ground. My message to today's students : Teach yourself to not worry about what is out of your control, and don't sit against the wall at homecoming. Even if you think you're the worst dancer ever, there is always someone out there to make you look good. OH and one more thing: Pull up your pants, fix your hat, and guys.. Pink is not the new black. You look like girls. And also, guys.. take off the eyeliner, it's really not impressive. Occupation(s) : BNSF Railroad, Crane operator. Hobbies/Interests : Guitar, music production, working on cars, preferably Subaru's and GM L Bodies. My family : Siblings, parent's are still the same people. No update on that, however I have a son now, Brigham Frederick Kropelnicki, 12/30/08. My travels and adventures : Adventures went from road trips, to random trips to Walmart at 3 in the morning. Can't remember them, but I know they were all spontaneous. My claim to fame : Fame is overrated. I prefer to stay a home body. My retirement plans : Not retire.. I get too bored if i'm not working. But if I was incapable of working, I guess I'd practice the guitar & piano a little more. Other memories/comments : Your principal is a close lookalike for Norm Macdonald. So if you get into the hot seat with him, keep a straight face, because no matter how deceiving it is, he's not Norm Macdonald. Date : 03/05/2010

2003:
Elizabeth Cervantes (Corral)
spent 8 years in District #14 attending Dupont Elementary, Adams City Middle, and Adams City High School.  I was scared and shy on the first day of school.  I was excited but sad to leave ACHS.  My favorite teachers were Mr. Quintana and Mr. Martinez.  I enjoyed history.  My best friends were Maria Sandoval and Judith Cazares.  I rode the bus until 12th grade when I drove my car to school.  I smile when I remember my friends and all the fun stuff we did.  I participated in M.E.CH.A and Mariachi Band and remember the dances.
